Health - Millions of Americans will soon have to clear a new hurdle to get health care through Medicaid. Starting July 1st, recipients must show birth certificates or U.S. passports to qualify for state programs. Supporters say the measure will keep illegal immigrants from getting health care paid for by the government. Opponents say many of the country's poorest citizens don't have access to the necessary documents.
