A former friend of a Grand Rapids mother now officially faces charges in her murder.
A judge arraigned Marvin Snyder Saturday morning.
Police considered Snyder a person of interest since the disappearance of Sue Sheldon and about a week after police found her body, they got a warrant to arrest him.
Snyder was arraigned Saturday morning on an open murder charge. He appeared before the judge by closed circuit television from the Kent County Jail.
The judge denied bond for Snyder. He also set the preliminary hearing for December 6th.
