Grand Rapids (WZZM) - Our snow drought continues for West Michigan with little relief in sight.

The picture is our snow gauge out on the weather deck. The story is not pretty if you are a snow-lover.

So far in Grand Rapids this season we have had 9.4 inches of snow. Our normal snowfall for this date is 38.4 inches. That means we are 29 inches below average.

It's even worse for Muskegon. Snowfall so far in Muskegon is 9.7 inches. The normal snowfall is 46.8 inches. That's around 38 inches below average.

The next seven days calls for temperatures near normal with little significant snow expected.
