MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Thousands of vehicles of all makes and models rolled into Muskegon Thursday for the 17th Annual Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour.

The city was filled with car enthusiasts and spectators, providing a fun-filled atmosphere for all ages. The seven day, seven city tour included more than 4,000 vehicles and their owners, which packed into downtown Muskegon, attracting car lovers from far and wide.

A first for the lakeshore community, local business owners were overjoyed with the turnout. Giveaways, games, and two hot rod feature films, were just a few of the items on the agenda.

"It's an awesome thing for Muskegon, anytime you can bring people in from other areas and out of town, it's great for Muskegon," says Ron Baker, who lives in Muskegon.

The Hot Rod Power Tour will leave Muskegon around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning, head east on M-46, south on M-37, then to I-96 in Walker. Drivers will then take I-96 to M-21, passing through Lowell, before heading east to Lansing. The event concludes at Metro Beach in Detroit.
