CANNON TOWNSHIP, Michigan (WZZM) - A Comstock Park man was seriously injured Friday morning when he attempted to pass a vehicle and collided with an opposing car.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on Pettis Avenue, just south of Cannonsburg Rd.

Kent County Sheriff's deputies say while trying to pass an SUV pulling a trailer, Keith Buck, 63, of Comstock Park hit a Volkswagen head-on. Buck's Ford Focus then struck the trailer, causing it to jack-knife and rollover.

Buck was flown to Spectrum Health by AeroMed. He was listed in serious but stable condition.
