G.R. Griffin arrested for drunk driving

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A member of the Grand Rapids Griffins hockey team is facing charges including driving under the influence and lying about his identity.

Riley Sheahan, 20, was arrested in Grand Rapids on October 29.  He was originally stopped for going the wrong way on a one-way street.

Sheahan is charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of 0.17 or higher, using a forged or false ID, driving the wrong way and refusing to take a preliminary breath test (breathalizer).

The Detroit News first reported on the arrest of Sheahan, who was the Detroit Red Wings' top pick in the 2010 draft.

Sheahan entered a not guilty plea during a November 6 court appearance.  His next court date is set for December 13.
