GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A man is facing murder charges in Michigan after investigators say the pickup truck he was driving collided head-on with a car, killing a woman and two young children.

Van Buren County District Court confirmed Thursday 11 felony counts have been authorized against David Glen Johnson. They include 3 charges of 2nd Degree Homicide, 3 charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, and several others related to driving with a suspended license.

Authorities have said the 32-year-old Johnson is from Alabama, but a court filing lists his hometown as Grand Junction, Mich.

Tuesday's crash in Geneva Township, 50 miles southwest of Grand Rapids, resulted in the deaths of 24-year-old Brittney Renee King of Bangor and 2-year-old Kandice Berryhill and 4-year-old Cassadi Berryhill, both of South Haven.

Tonight on WZZM 13 News at Six find out how the accident is affecting the first responders to the crash scene and what they are doing to cope.
