GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - A Hudsonville woman is hospitalized in critical condition following a crash that occured in dense fog Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Van Buren Street and 16th Avenue in Georgetown Township.

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies say an eastbound Dodge Ram collided with a Ford Escape at a stop sign, causing the Escape to roll.

The driver of the Escape, Kelsey Gibson, 21, of Hudsonville, was pinned in and had to be extricated. She was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the pickup, Nicholas Van Dyke, 33, of Jenison, was not hurt.

Authorities say visibility was limited because of dense fog. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
