Pure Michigan campaign going national

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Michigan's award winning tourism ad campaign is going national. Experience Grand Rapids announced the expansion of the Pure Michigan campaign during Wednesday night's Toast the Town.

Experience Grand Rapids is also developing a tourism ambassador program and preparing for the first ever Cool Brews, Hot Eats event. The 12 day festival will showcase food from more than 55 local restaurants and breweries.

"We think it is our opportunity to brand Grand Rapids as a truly wonderful destination," says Doug Small, President & CEO of Experience Grand Rapids.

Cool brews, Hot Eats runs from February 18 through March 2. All of the food is paired or prepared with beer, in honor of Grand Rapids' title of Beer City, USA.
