(WZZM)- West Michigan will be the perfect place to spend your Easter weekend. These events are sure to brings smiles to everyone's faces.
Head to Kalamazoo for the Walk with the Homeless Friday. Participants will walk to seven different locations in Downtown Kalamazoo during a prayer walk, all to foster support and prayers for the area homeless.
The walk starts and ends at Ministry with Community, which is Kalamazoo's only daytime shelter and resource center for those struggling with homelessness and other personal challenges.
Registration starts at 9:45 a.m. Friday. The walk starts at 10 a.m.
John Ball Park will play host to the 22nd Annual Optimist Easter Egg Hunt.
Children will collect eggs and prizes, and they will all have a chance to win a bike. The Easter Bunny will also be on site for photo opportunities.
This year, the even is taking place in the east side of the park's parking lot.
That is all happening Saturday starting at 10 a.m. The event is free.
Stop by Hudsonville for an Easter Eggs hunt at Hughes Park. The event is free, but organizers will take donations to benefit Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital.
Children will hunt for eggs throughout the park, but be on the look out for three special eggs for a chance to win the grand prize!
Hughes Park is located at 5500 Hughes Drive. The hunt starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Calvin Church Muskegon is offering breakfast with its annual hunt.
Pancakes are being served up from 8-10 a.m. The hunt will follow directly after.
Both the hunt and the breakfast are free.
The hunt is open to children 10 years old and younger.
Calvin Church is located at 973 W. Norton.
Donations will be accepted at the door.
Another Lakeshore option? The Grand Haven Easter Egg Hunt is going on Saturday at 11.
This year, organizers have boosted the total number of eggs to 7000, that's 2000 more than last year.
Egg hunters will be separated into age groups (2 and under, 3-5, 5-7, and 8-10) to make sure the smaller hunters are safe during the Easter madness.
Eggs will include things like candy and stickers. But hunters should also look out for tickets hidden inside of the eggs, which will earn you grand prizes. And there is always the Golden Eggs! There will be one hidden for each age group.
The hunt starts at 11 a.m. at Grand Haven Central Park. Make sure to be there on time, because the eggs go fast!
