The Grand River was expected to crest at 17 feet in Robinson Township, Mich. (April 22, 2013)
ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- After reaching historic heights in Comstock Park and downtown Grand Rapids, the Grand River crest is traveling downstream toward Ottawa County.
The crest was expected to reach Georgetown Township Monday evening and Robinson Township by midnight.
At Riverside Park, the water is covering much of the parking lot and is to the tops of picnic tables.
The Grand is expected to crest at just over 17 feet in Robinson Township and while there are no mandatory evacuations, a shelter remains open Hudsonville for those who have left their flooded homes voluntarily.
