Man stabbed in neck with pruning shears

MONTAGUE, Mich. (Ludington Daily News) A Montague man is being held in the Oceana County Jail after a Sunday afternoon stabbing incident.

The Oceana County Sheriff's Office reports the man, Clifford W. Thomas, 32, of 8477 S. Robinhood Drive, Montague, stabbed Henry Kephard, Jr., of Whitehall in the neck with a pair of pruning shears Sunday afternoon. Thomas also allegedly assaulted his own teenage son during the incident and later assaulted and attempted to disarm an Oceana deputy at a hospital in Muskegon.
