(WZZM) Grand Rapids, Mich. - This month the FDA approved the sale of the Plan B pill so that it would be available to women 15 and older without a doctor's perscription.
The pill is designed to prevent a pregnancy if it is taken within three days of unprotected sex.
It is only effective in preventing pregnancy and should not be confused as an "abortion pill".
Dr. Robyn Hubbard from Grand Rapids Women's Health talks more about the Plan B pill and the FDA's decision in the video link.
