GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The Grand Rapids Police Department is hiring for the first time in four years. The police department announced Friday morning it will start recruiting men and women immediately.
GRPD says candidates must complete a multi-step process by November 7. The multiple steps include attending an information meeting, a background investigation, 21 week field training and more.
The salary for a Grand Rapids officer is between $41,065 and $64,630 and includes full health and pension benefits.
