MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - A Muskegon County man is facing felony charges for threatening to blow up buildings in Detroit and Muskegon.
Charles Alexander, 56, of Fruitland Township, was charged Thursday with one count of making a false report of a bomb.
Wednesday night, a SWAT team arrested Alexander at his home on Worden Road after he told a crisis hotline operator to "get body bags ready...because people were going to die in the explosions."
Police say Alexander has a previous conviction for possessing illegal explosives. He is currently in custody at the Muskegon County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
