'Serial window peeper' arrested in Kentwood

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police arrested a man Tuesday after catching him peeping in windows at an apartment complex.

While conducting surveillance, officers witnessed Clanford Howard, 43, prowling in an apartment complex and window peeping in another. Howard was arrested a short time later.

Police began an intense surveillance in the area of Burton & East Paris Ave. and well as Burton & Patterson Ave. after officers received several complaints of a person peering into windows at apartments and single family dwellings.

Howard is lodged in the Kent County Jail on two counts of window peeping. Bong was set at $5,000 cash. Kentwood Police say Howard was on probation and out on bond for similar crimes in Grand Rapids.
