GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- U.S. Rep. Justin Amash (R-Michigan) will be sending his staff out in the Third Congressional District for mobile office hours this month.
Workers for the congressman will be in three West Michigan communities to help constituents with federal issues or casework. People interested in meeting with members of the representative's staff do not have to make an appointment.
"I understand that not every constituent has regular Internet access and some may have difficulty making it to our district offices in Grand Rapids and Battle Creek," says Rep. Amash in a news release. "I want to bring our office to them."
On Thursday, staff members will be at the Portland City Hall, 259 Kent Street, from 12 - 1 p.m.
On July 24, they will be at the Belding City Hall, 120 South Pleasant Street, from 9-10 a.m., then at the Ionia City Hall, 114 North Kidd Street, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The Grand Rapids district office will remain open as usual during the mobile office hours.
Anyone seeking information on the mobile office stops can call (616) 451-8383.
