Billboards posted to try and solve murders

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Billboards have gone up in the Grand Rapids area to publicize unsolved murders.

The Grand Rapids police chief, investigators and family members are hoping for new tips and information to solve the cold cases.

The billboard strategy is being launched by Silent Observer and is sponsored by the Gannett Foundation, the parent company of WZZM 13.

WZZM 13 has profiled the four cases being highlighted on the billboards.  They are:

Alan Foster - killed in July of 2006.
