Grand Rapids Police respond to a shots fired call at Burke and Spencer NE.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Grand Rapids Police responded to a shots fired call Wednesday that caused a nearby school to go on lockdown.
Police went to a scene near Burke and Spencer in Northeast Grand Rapids about 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say they received a call about shots fired, possibly involving two vehicles in the area. No one appears to be hurt. So far, no one is in custody.
Wellspring Preparatory High School is near the scene of the situation. Grand Rapids Police say Wellspring did go on lockdown for a period of time, although the event was not in any way related to the school. However, the lockdown has since been lifted.
WZZM 13 News has tried to reach Wellspring, but has not had success thus far.
