Big Rapids, Mich. (WZZM) A number of classes are cancelled tomorrow at Ferris State University due to a power outage.

The outage happened early Wednesday and the university and Consumer's Energy are trying to fix the problem.

Electricity was restored to students living in the West Campus Residence Halls and Apartments Wednesday night, but a number of academic buildings remain without electricity.

Classes canceled Thursday include those held in the Allied Health and Optometry buildings, Creative Arts Center and West Commons.

Classes held in Bishop Hall and Pharmacy building will be moved to other classrooms across campus. The cause of the outage is unknown.
