GAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Police have identified a body found Sunday afternoon in the Grand River.
Around 1:30 p.m. fishermen discovered a body floating in the river near the I-196 overpass and Millenium Park. The body was described as a black male.
Monday, police identified the victim as Khristopher Holbrook, 22, of Grand Rapids. An autopsy showed the cause of death was drowning.
Police are still investigating how Holbrook ended up in the river. He was recently reported as a missing person.
