WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - The State Farm Advisory Board awarded Kent ISD the Sustainable Urban Agriculture Award Tuesday.

The award comes with a $100,000 grant to support community agriculture projects.

The Kent ISD program was one of 64 organizations across the U.S. and Canada to receive the youth-led grant.

Kelloggsville and Godfrey-Lee Public schools plan to use the money for projects that will put food back into the community. Those projects include a hydroponic garden, greenhouse, and community garden. They will also focus on landscape beautification and recycling.

Kent ISD received the award Tuesday morning at Kellogsville High School.
