WALKER, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police are searching for the drivers of two vehicles following a deadly hit and run accident. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday on Wilson Avenue near Chesterfield Drive.

Investigators say Larry Calvin Burton, 61, attempted to cross Wilson and was hit by a southbound vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old girl from Grand Rapids.

The force of the crash pushed Burton into the northbound side of the road. An unknown vehicle hit Burton and dragged his body three miles, first north to Remembrance Road and then to Johnson Street, where his body became dislodged. The driver did not stop.

Walker Police are still looking for two vehicles. The first is described as a dark colored SUV that has 10-15 bumper stickers on it pertaining to racing. The stickers are on the bumper and also the tailgate glass.

The second suspect vehicle is a dark colored pick-up truck which turned onto Wilson Avenue from Lake Michigan Drive and could have come upon the crash scene.

Police are still awaiting toxicology results to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Anyone with information should call Walker Police at (616) 791-6887.
