GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Kent Innovation High School let students send pumpkins on a perilous plunge Tuesday and it was all for the sake of learning.

Students dropped the pumpkins from a 60-foot bucket truck in a project that provided real-life algebra and physics lessons.

The students came into the project with hypotheses and detailed investigation plans using Newton's Second Law of Physics and skills learned in Algebra II classes.

Kent Innovation High School has been open for 3 years and focuses on making learning fun with various hands-on projects.
