LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Crews are continuing to restore electricity to Michigan homes and businesses, reducing the number of customers without power to about 52,000.

Consumers Energy says outages were down Friday afternoon to 36,400. About 12,600 DTE Energy customers are in the dark due to harsh weather that began last week.

Below is a list of Consumers Energy outages by county as of late Friday afternoon:

Barry: 5,739
Calhoun: 370
Ionia: 1,565
Kent: 353

In the state capital, Lansing Board of Water & Light says it's down to 2,600 outages.

The utilities expect power to be restored to most by this weekend, but they're bracing for possible problems from rising temperatures. They fear tree branches and ice could snap power lines as ice melts.
