LUDINGTON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Cold weather was a challenge early Friday morning as firefighters worked to put out a Ludington restaurant fire.
It happened around 4 a.m. at the Applebee's on U.S. 10 near U.S. 31.
The Mason County Press is reporting crews were first called to the restaurant on a report of smoke coming from the building.
The Press is reporting firefighters had to deal with problems caused by the cold weather. A water valve on one of the trucks froze, and ice built up in the parking lot of the building.
There's no word on the cause.
