Airlines offer weather breaks for G.R. travelers

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Two airlines serving Gerald R. Ford International Airport are offering people flying in and out of Grand Rapids a chance to change their travel plans without a penalty.

Southwest Airlines is telling passengers with flights in and out of Grand Rapids Sunday they may rebook without paying any additional charge.  The new travel date must be within 14 days of the original travel date.

Delta Airlines is telling passengers they may rebook without penalty if their Grand Rapids flights are Sunday or Monday.  The flight must be rebooked for no later than January 9.

Several flights in and out of Gerald R. Ford International Airport have already been canceled for Sunday.
