Holland Police rescue man from burning house

HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police officers helped rescue a man from his burning home after it caught fire.

It happened around 7:15 a.m. Sunday on West 39th Street near Central Avenue.

A neighbor called 911 to report heavy smoke coming from the back of a nearby home. 

By the time police arrived they were able to see flames coming from the attic of the home.  Officers helped a man get out of the house before firefighters arrived.

Crews were still on the scene as of 7:45 a.m.  There's no word on the cause.
