Grand Rapids (WZZM) - This year another 200,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with epilepsy.

The neurological condition affects millions of people around the world including hundreds of thousands of children under age 15.

Here in West Michigan, some of the hardest to treat patients have a new option when it comes to treatment.

Dr. Kost Elisevich, a neurosurgeon with Spectrum Health, talks about a new implantable device to help the hardest to treat patients.
