UPDATED 1:30 pm, January 16: Grand Rapids Police say Robert Allen Farthing, 78, was last seen near Spectrum Blodgett Hospital (1840 Wealthy Street SE) in Grand Rapids about 3:45 pm on Wednesday. Witnesses say he appeared confused and was looking for help with directions.
Farthing is 5'11" and weighs about 270 pounds, with gray hair.
He is driving a white 2005 Buick Lacrosse with a cream leather interior and a Michigan handicapped license plate 5798G2. The car may have clothes hanging by the rear passenger doors.

Robert Farthing, 78, was last seen late Wednesday morning while dropping his wife off at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital to visit family. Farthing told his wife he was going to a restaurant, but never returned.
Family members say Farthing has issues with depression.
He was last seen wearing a white winter coat, black pants and black wool driving hat.
He was driving a white 2005 Buick LaCrosse, with Michigan license plate 579-8G2.
Police say Farthing has homes in Flint and Oscoda County, and has family in Coopersville.
