GRAND RAPIDS, (WZZM) - There were plenty of side arms visible during a seminar at the 616 Gunshop in Grand Rapids Saturday. Michigan Open Carry discussed the pros and cons of openly carrying a firearm, with over 50 gun owners.
The Assistant Director for Michigan Open Carry, Tom Lambert, says his organization's goal is to educate the public about open carry laws. The group also discussed interacting with police, and how to avoid incidents that end up being recorded and put on the internet.
Lambert says those who open carry, should be calm when dealing with police, and not to debate them... if you are detained.
