WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - Several cars and trucks have been involved in a crash on southbound U.S.-131 just south of 44th Street.
Up to 20 cars may have been involved with several slide-offs. Wyoming Police tells WZZM 13 there were several ambulances on stand-by but none were dispatched to the scene. There are currently no reports of injury.
One lane has reopened on US-131.
Dan Rossman was one of the dozens of drivers who slid off the road. He said it was impossible to see because of falling snow and snow drifts and says "it was nearly impossible to stop."
Rossman slid into a concrete barrier near the 44th Street exit. A tow truck eventually helped him pull away from the wall and he was able to drive off on his own.
A Consumers Energy bucket truck was one of the vehicles involved in the series of crashes on US-131. Roger Morganstern, Consumers Energy Spokeperson, says a vehicle rear-ended the Consumers truck, which then was pushed into a vehicle in front of it. No one in the Consumers truck was injured.
